A unique business competition based on tech and innovation
The inaugural IE Global Innovation Challenge aims to attract future leaders in innovation from business schools around the world to solve the challenges faced by the retail sector in today's digital age. We invite top analytical minds to represent their universities. Each team should consist of 4 students currently enrolled in a graduate-level program such as the MBA, Masters in Finance or Masters in Business Analytics.
Based on the application forms, selected teams will be invited to solve a business case fuelled by technology and innovation in the retail sector. The teams will also get an 'emergency' challenge while in Madrid with less than 12 hours to formulate an answer.
The solutions will be evaluated by a panel of top executives from Sephora, IE Business School and top consulting firms among others.
Only one team application from each university will be accepted. The university teams can be chosen either by the school program management or by an official university club.
The deadline for registration is 27 May 23:59
The Global Innovation Challenge committee will select the top applications by 31 May and invite them to Madrid for the final event.
Selected teams will have to pay a registration fee of €100
The Sephora Case will be revealed on 7 June to all selected teams, giving them 20 days to work on the challenge.
Teams will present their solutions between 27-29 June in Madrid
Each team must consist of 4 students currently enrolled in graduate-level programs at the same university
Each team should have a diverse profile in terms of gender, nationalities and if feasible, professional backgrounds
Teams must be available to travel to Madrid from 27-29 June 2019
